The Penn State Hydrogeophysics Field Experience is an integrated learning opportunity involving intensive collaboration with faculty and other undergraduate students, and run though the PSU Department of Geosciences with funding from the National Science Foundation. Students will conduct field work, build instrumentation, construct numerical models, and spend time in the classroom learning about hydrogeology and geophysics. The only prerequisite is enthusiasm!

The class is designed for students interested in academic and professional careers, and will teach skills sought after by both to future employers and graduate schools in the context of real-world problems. The course will run for three weeks (May 17-June 4, 2010). Lodging, meals, and travel will be covered, and a stipend is provided for the three-week program. Enrollment will be capped at 8 students, and is open to students from all universities, although preference will be given to Penn State students and our partner institutions at Jackson State University, Fort Valley State University, and Elizabeth City State University.
